ANY novel that has more than 1000 chapters NEEDS to have some development at the 300 chapters mark, even if the story has 393873 chapters, in chapter 300, we as readers already need to have a good enough understanding of who the MC is, what he/she does, what are his/her personality, habits, faults, likes, dislikes, and some general direction of the story, etc. while there may be some further "unknown" things if by chapter 300 you still cannot say if you like the MC, his/her personality, some habits, faults, tastes, etc, then the novel is trash. That is actually(@Defected_Saint did actually try to get into it considering he took 300 chapters) far too long to drop a story you do not like. Just as you have your point of view, he has his/hers, and he/she has every right, to write a review based on what he got from whatever long he read. it is no-ones place to tell him/her to do better, from what he wrote, if he just writes "it xux don't read, novel bad xoxo" < go and rage all you want

I've never read ZY whatever it is, as far as I know. The fact that my comment is similar to whatever review you saw simply means somebody felt the same way about that novel as I did this one. Why the hell would I read 3K+ chapters when I've already decided I don't like what I've read in 300? If you like this novel, great, continue to read it. I told nobody to stop. As I said, to each their own. But I have no obligation to like something simply because you do. On a side note, you do see the MC betrayed, repeatedly. I didn't want to post any spoilers though. However, without being too specific, they end up in a "hidden world" with several different factions going along. One individual draws them into a fight they had no need to take part of, A.K.A they used them to draw aggro. MC shrugs it off, Dude goes on to unleash a calamity later on. Could've just killed him then and there and saved everybody the bs going forward.

I would like to find out as well but I feel like it will be hard to fight as although alchemy is exciting, at a certain point it becomes bland unless the mc just time skips some processes or rapidly improves his skill to the point it's not the same thing again.
