Reading this while taking a quantum mechanics class in my uni and I have to say that this is my biggest motivator to learn in that class. In my opinion this is a good read. The science stuff can go over your head and it's still enjoyable.
I liked it, the magic and science link, the MC development and all but i dropped it arround chapter 700 i think. When reaching the end, the MC is too strong so the story go for the apprentices of the MC and i find it horrible, the story didn't really make them interresting or likeable in any way so i really don't give a s*** about them... really. So when there are entire chapters about them and their adventure, without news of the MC it's just painfull to read because i absolutely don't care, at all. And it made me quit unfortunately. But good read tho i really liked the beginning and mid story.
Does this get better? I've read the first 50 chapters and I feel like the magic isn't really well explained. I do want to read this, because I read LOTM, but I feel like it is not explained as well.
Does this contain a lot of romance that it affects the story deeply?
Dropped it at chapter 500, it got boring and repetitive. While I liked the MC, the rest of the charters aren't really that unique. The parts that I liked the most was when they were talking about science discoveries, but the fighting scenes and romance(even if it's very little) were very tiring. The main reason why I dropped this is because of the new world. It seems that since the MC arrived in this world is Plot Armor increase significantly and everything seemed forced. In conclusion, I recommend you to read it if you like the exploration of scientific theories, that are explained very easily. If I had to rate it 4/5 until the new world and 3/5 after(at least until chapter 500). Anyway I wish you a good reading.👋
