    Is is the one where even after like 5k chapters he's still like an apprentice builder lol I remember there was a mech ln with ungodly slow pacing I wanted to avoid.

        Yes, but dont start reading if your expecting MC to pilot mechs, that isnt happening as far as we can tell and if it were to happen it would be towards the end of the story, word of advice: The war arc may seem exceedingly difficult to get through but its worth it and necessary for world building..

    You can find and get invested in an interesting plot point, and it won't be resolved until 1,000+ chapters later, and the entire scene would be done in a few paragraphs. This is how I'd describe this novel. The author could easily make this novel 15k or 20k chapters, at 5209 chapters we are nowhere near an ending, I'd say not even halfway through.

        Chapter count should be indicative of the story’s scope and size, not pacing. At this point the novel is just a money grab for the author

        I didn't meant by chapter #, but by the length of story arcs... and even then, chapter #s definately give an indication. Also, don't authors need money too? The fact thst the story is relatively coherent with minimal plot holes at this length is a skill.

      As of chapter 5193 he has not yet piloted a mech. He has however possessed mech pilots an piggybacked of their experience. Also it has been teased that with his current research he might be able to pilot mechs in the future.

        this is a VERY slow burn book, we are 5k chapters in and have just reached the middle part of the story. Action is not the main focus it is about charekter development and building mechs. there is very little face slapping young masters and there are side charekters who are mech pilots and there are chapters told from their perspective so it is not as if there is no mech piolting in the story.
