It's a grt story
I’m surprised how highly ranked this novel is. I’m at chap 1192 and definitely not 4.2 stars. It was good up to chap 850+ but after that it went downhill. The treasure hunting arc was horrible and it goes on for two arcs. How does the mc get stronger? Hunt for treasures. Enemy too strong?? Hunt for treasures that counter the enemies’s strong point and aim at their weakness.
Wtf is that summary above?! How tf is it even a summary.. Guy just copy pasted from some poetry book 😡
Now that ending was just a cliffhanger...more like hanging on a twig stuck on a cliff. Where do I go next...there must be something more...
It's the 5th Chinese novel that I'm stopping after having exceeded 500 chapters. It annoys me, the only advice I can give you if you want to preserve your mental health never read a Chinese novel and even less novels of chinese cultivation. Even if this one is less bad than the others I stopped it because I found it too bland you might like it There are a few exceptions but really not many. the problem with his novels is that the Mc personalities make me want to shoot myself in the head. Either too arrogant or too stupid I'm tired of reading novels that have potential but are wasted because the MC ends up making totally irrational decisions which spoils the reading but I specify that this is not the case of this novel which you might like. I just find it bland and repetitive and it's boring but I think that the Chinese Romans and me are over. they have names impossible to remember, broken romances and intrigues rarely well developed come on it's over

Good read though I'm kinda late posting a review since I already finished this novel a year ago and I don't remember much other than thinking this is a good read. Also I do know that after this novel you should read Lord Xue Ying which is like the sequel to this novel (You'll meet the MC near the end). This is a classic for those wanting to read chinese cultivation novels. I don't remember much about the repeating plot the other comments say but Chinese web novels are like that but there's new elements and interesting characters though. The repeating plot should only occur no less than 2 times in this chapter.
