I'm not sure you even see the world of the novel by chapter 30. It's a slightly advanced / modern society with a 'dream world' counterpart that's like, dark souls esque... malevolent, unfair, dark and deadly. 90%odd of the time you'll be in that dream world which is full of dark fantasy themes, which a unique enough twist that you shouldn't feel it's generic or you've experienced it before. Examples of this might be, "exp" is found in the forms of souls, "items" are memories of the monsters you've fought or some historic figure, so you're learning about the world as you get new "items"(memories) which give you snippets into the mysteries of the world.

The author said if nephis reversed her flaw she would be feeling pain even without using her aspect

Maybe for Nephis, the reverse flaw is that she gets super comfortable and feels sleepy while fighting. And for Cassie, if she could see then she won't be able to use her aspect ability

since its your first time writing, Start out with however you feel comfortable..you'll get the hang of it automatically

i don´t think there is a cookie-cutter answer. chapters can differ greatly in lenght. the amount of time or pace you can write is definetly not clear for you yet. try to stay rather consistent with releases though. lets take shadow slave as an example: the author defintetly has a huge buffer in chapters in cases of sickness or sth. just try to write sth you enjoy in a pace that does not burn you out

I believe if you're writing a novel, you should start off with writing only 1 chapter a week, because it's very easy to reach burnout and that will only slow you down. maybe after writing it for a while, you could/should write a bit more but never rush writing it never ends good.
