    Hey guys so I am on around 180-200 chapter and there have been some people commenting that the the story gets boring later just wanted to ask you guys and by the way is sunny still having some mental problems like inferiority complex and stuff I mean it add depth to the story but I also want sunny to be happy Another thing is the Romance tag just for show from what I know there is no official romance till now I really like effie or Athena and would like sunny to end up with her and if we are going for harem may neph join the cohort Another thing will nephs and sunnys relationship get better I mean currently they are always on each other's throat and I really like neph and a character and would like to see sunny and neph like the old days Last but not the least when will sunny awaken I would not be too surprised if it took another 100 chapters I just don't want to have it too long and want good lore

      His mental state improves, there is no romance going on rn as of the latest chapter and no this will not be a harem, never will be. The tag isn't just for show we just haven't gotten to the point yet and you'll have to wait a while longer til he awakens.

      This is not harem, and the romance will be slow, but let's not kid each other. Author could say that he swears on his mother's corpse Sunny will not end up with neph, but no one would believe him. Also, i believe he gets better

        The thing you people should understand is that everyone has different tastes and novel ranking are based on veiws with ratings even if your novel has high rating but low veiw your novel will below at ranking shadow slave has a lot of veiws and it gets more veiw everyday for being the top 1 so it's hard for a good top 1 novel to fall down the ranks as people would keep reading it. As this series is ongoing it gets more veiw being the top 1 is not that it is the best novel for everyone but it is that a lot of people have read this novel and they liked it

      It gets really good in the later chapters, but I do agree that the first arc was pretty slow, if you can stick with it then itll be worth it.

        i agree it deserves #1 place for an older audience due to the effort and advanced writing style making it feel like an actual novel, but to get #1 you have to find a balance between the 3 major communities (shoujo, shounen, seinen) with the writing and it being easy to digest. Shadow slave deserves #1 on this type of website due to that balance with the younger and older audience.

        supremacy games had too many unneeded; unexplained plot armor moments that saved the mc from losing, for example when during that game where he had to team up with the vampire dude he got 195 points but was saved from the loss because a multiplier that i dont recall being mentioned until that point just to save him from the loss. An mc that never loses always reflects an author with a narcissistic God-complex which i hate to see

        hero of darkness is written by an author that feels the need to make an authors note every time he makes a joke to convince ppl he's funny- and like to say "this isnt like one of those web novels where the mc..." 10x right before doing something unoriginal Dual cultivation is just an H-novel with a generic wuxia xianxia plot both decent reads but not good enough

        Well I can't say too much about the Hero of Darkness as I've yet to read it. But hell I'm sure that Dual Cultivation doesn't deserves to be at the top ten. Let alone to be the 1st place. Although Shadow Slave is not without any flaws, at least it has its own originality and would stay away from cliche or parodying it in a funny way and entertaining to the readers. While on the other hand, Dual Cultivation literally reads like your average cultivation novel except now the MC f*cks woman from left to right like a rabbit in mating season. There are absolutely no new things, no comedy, the romance was and is sh*t, the harem exists for no apparent reason except to be f*cked by the MC and serves absolutely almost zero purpose to the story other than to lengthens it.

    In my opinion, not that anyone particularly cares, this novel is great, but the interest and appeal drop when Nephis is out of the picture. She brings a lot of life to the story, which actually makes a bit of sense given the whole master and shadow relationship they have. I won’t be so bold as to say for sure that it’s intentional, but it’s still nice all the same.

      I disagree, I think the story benefited from separating Sunny and Neph for awhile but its good to have her back. Tho I still kinda want him to run off with Jet in Antarctica.
