The hearse with the weird odor slowed to a stop before the entrance. The sound of pebbles could be heard bouncing on the ceiling. There were footsteps coming from the corridor, and there seemed to be someone sawing next door. The door knob to the room rattled slightly, and the faucet in the bathroom kept dripping even though it had been screwed shut. There was a rubber ball that rolled on its own underneath the bed. Wet footsteps started to surface one after another on the floor.
At 3 am, Chen Ge held a cleaver in his hand as he hid beside the room heater. The call he was trying to make was finally answered. “Landlord, is this what you meant by ‘the house can be a little crowded at night’‽”

Site doesn't allow me to place this on review page for some reason, so i just leave it here. I'm big fan of horror genre for more than 20 years already. I've read pretty much every horror novel and most of the somewhat known books. Out of all novels that i've read, i consider only two being actual "horror": it's this one and "My Iyashikei Game" written by the same author. And honestly it's all you need to know about this novel, but i'll write the most important thing for me personally: Unlike most "scary" novels it doesn't degrade into subpar action movie script, and keeps you on your toes for all it's incredible length. So enjoy and have fun reading it.
I'm not into horror things but when I started readin this novel, I just couldn't stop. It had me hooked from the very first page. The pacing of the story is flawless, with tension building steadily throughout. The eerie atmosphere created by the author is spine-tingling, and I often found myself reading late into the night, unable stop. All in all, it's worth reading

Guys is this novel a continuous storyline or different daily event stuff?
Reading this at 3AM is something. I have school from morning to afternoon so I don't have time to read other than night, whenever the mirror and any other normal things that you can find inside a person room gets mentioned, my mind always created scary scenarios lololol. It even got to the point that I'm also covering my mirror inside my room when I'm about to read this at night or sleep. Boss Chen this is your fault
They really should put a mindbreak tag in this novel.
After finishing this novel all i can say is this is worth of my cut salary after stealing some work time just to read few chapters
I read the spoilers and MC's wife who was a ghost at the Beginning has become a demon god while MC is still a human I don't like stories where MC who is a mortal would in a few years but their partner would just suffer alone for eternity or just move on😑 At least make them both immortals or mortals then😮💨
While reading this novel I always saw boss chen with a hammer coming for me in my dreams. Those nights were scary man.
