The royal bastard of House Vasquer, Argrave, has changed after his stay studying magic at the Tower of the Gray Owl. The sickly man’s awkward posture and cruel behavior have been replaced with a neat dignity and acerbic wit. His listless life has found a path of undeniable purpose. Most come away thinking he seems to know too many details about too much. Few can claim to know his motives or his goals.
Behind the scenes, though, the primary contributor for an open-world RPG’s wiki battles existential dread and things far beyond his ken as he struggles to adapt to a grim, gothic fantasy world that he had the misfortune to claim as his favorite game. This is his tale.
#####What to expect from this story#####
This piece is a high-fantasy style story, featuring many of the species and surroundings one might expect to find in such a world. The cultures are original and well-developed, with the primary setting being a European-style feudal society. Warfare, fell beasts, and natural disasters are commonplace in Berendar, and take the center of many plots. The protagonist is a smooth-talker, but the world does not exist for him; he must struggle to gain power.

From the title alone can I expect some backstabbing.°^°
I can't bring myself to read it It's good, but I just can't read this, it doesn't give me the feeling of wanting to read more for some reason
Well, they convinced me, to the library. I have to wait until I finish the ones I have in progress, but I will definitely read this.
Im on ch 27 rn but can someone please tell me if the l*sb**n subplot is real or was it just something that was mentioned in passing
I will not mention anything spoiler-wise. I'd just like to say the writing quality is on par with LoTM, ORV, Delve, Tbate. Slowburn, natural-realistic writing, heavy lore, has a map imagery. Definitely going into my favlist. Personally speaking the Alchemist has to be one of the most well written characters I've seen in awhile. He reminds me of Gilgamesh from Epic of Gilgamesh and Marethyu from Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel series.
Is there romance?
It is good. I like it. So why in the worl I am growing tired of reading it. It is freaking mystery! I want to read it, but everytime I try to, I suddenly becomes tired of it! Ugh... I sound like a karen...
okay I'm gonna take a pause on chapter 363 to build up chapter until at least current chapters reach 500. For anyone wondering if this is worth reading... IT IS TRUST ME. One mistake on this site is that it desperately needs a romance tag, the romance is so well written man.
Finally some good stuff
I read exactly 180 chapters of this novel and I can say that it was very good, the pace was great, neither too fast nor too slow, the construction of the world and the setting is fantastic and the secondary characters are unique and fascinating, but in the last chapters the protagonist gave a 360° of personality I know that the transformation event was drastic and brought a lot of pain but I preferred his lighter, more playful and at the same time reliable personality, now he seems more like a soldier who has control of the entire group of companions and the tireless duty to save the world at any cost, and the only one the MC listens to and cares about is his girlfriend. In my opinion, this left the novel a bit boring.
