The time flow is very slow. Fortunately there are some time skips in later chapters. story is becoming interesting but why contact so many fays if you're not going to use any of them. Like he hasn't used any fays expect riding blackie after major federation meeting. Oh I remember he used his devil to help begin lady , that's all. . In later parts (after chap 2000) it has become more of a kingdom building than pet fighting and why the hell everyone submit to him so easily, are there no one in the entire world who have a few screws loose.
I really adore the early portions of this novel, mostly everything roughly before ch. 1,000. I also mostly enjoy the middle portions, the chapters between 1,000 and 2,000, although problems begin to crop up. After chapter 2,000 I really struggle to appreciate the story or MC even though it still has good moments. Early novel has strong emotional themes of kinship and bonds, but this slowly starts to fade out as the story progresses in favor of mindless data sheets and internal monologues. The MC is very headstrong and constantly gets into troubles he needs to be conveniently saved from by Morbius, which is okay early on, at least there's consequences early on where Morbius needs to sleep and needs to be evolved to wake up. Later on, he can just protect MC from anything scot-free. Also, the latest portions of the novel have heavy emphasis on external power. All of MC's strength comes from external figures he helped with endless resources who swore loyalty or want to repay him, LOL.

The chapter 1000+ are so ugly. Each chapter goes like this A character says a sentence The author explains the characters thoughht process in forming the sentence The author emphasizes that characters back round and how it relates to the sentences The author explains how he/she could have only done it with the mc’s help The author explains how the character admires the mc The author explains how much happier she /he is now because of mc The author explains the characters thought process in what he/ she will try to aspire for in the future. I would be okay if this happened every like 10-15 chapters but NO EVERY CHAPTER WHERE SOMEONE TALKS. Its even longer if its a new character, or if theres a new fey. Sometimes even happens twice (only sometimes cause the author is cheap and this happens with the full chapter.) really disgusting behavior this wouldve been my favorite book (including reverend insanity and lotm if not for this sh*t)
I've read this All the way to chapter 2207. Although I've liked it through the years, I'm saying my farewell here. I like it pretty much, been with me ever since shortly after the covid had started. It's got good English I get that, but at the same time it doesn't have the feels I felt when I used to read this all night and day. And even repeating it from the beginning. Although I will visit here, but only sometimes will I be able to. In 2 months School will be back again. So I'm cutting short the things I do usually on summer breaks and do more research and studies. Hopefully, I'll come to love this in the future.
