Apotheosis of a Demon – A Monster Evolution Story

Without a doubt, one of the best stories I have ever read. I literally just created an account just to comment on this book. I have read hundreds of books and none seem to match up to this one. If I could find just one more book like this I would be ecstatic. I have reread this like 20 times now and it just gets better every time. 1000/5 stars for sure.

Man, I so would love many, many happy after stories of this series. We already got the 6 drama filled ones, but I’d love to see a relaxed, happy atmosphere for our protagonist for a while, maybe in some sort of slice of life spin-off that I think would do really well for anyone who enjoys this series like me.

(Read the comment under this first) 2/2 She goes from a cold hearted, closed off killer that still has very apparent kindness in there, to a warm-hearted person, with the resolve to still due what she must. Our main character has to be one of my favorite main characters of all time because of this.

1/2 I have reached chapter 98 after just finishing 97. Really, really beautiful story and now that I’m on the last stretches, I felt the need to write another comment saying just how amazing this story is. Previously I said that I felt we’d be in for a really good “long haul” despite the short chapter length, and I was right. The first 50ish chapters really were a type of progression that was slow but satisfying to a great extent, and built on the world, and our protagonist so much. Past that point however, our protagonist finally has a final goal, the previous one just being “survive” and to match that goal, she now goes throughout not only a large, near constant gain of power while continuously struggling against foes equal to her, but goes through a mental change that I rarely see from a protagonist.

I got goosebumps reading about the secret about alpha testers...

Taking my time with this one. Still early on, but the translations great, the chapter length is decently long and the story itself is so far, pretty innovative and fun. Even though there’s not many chapters to the story in general, these early chapters make me feel like I’m in for a long and somewhat slow paced story, in a very good way. It seems as though our protagonist will have very natural growth over time as the world gets more and more detailed. I’ll come back later to say more once I’ve read more.

Ability to change the outcome favorable to the user, for example, when a monster attacks and she uses reroll, the chance of it missing will increase, when mages cast a spell and she uses reroll the chance of the spell failing will increase, depending on how strong the attack is, her magic power will be reduced. It's a fucking op, the ability to change the outcome and makes it favorable to the user.

This was amazing! The story was short but worth it.
